If you have a Pro iPhone that supports Always On Display and a high refresh rate, turn off the Always On Display by going to Settings > Display and Brightness > Always On Display and then toggle it off.

iPhones give you no option to reduce the display refresh rate, and here your only choice is to turn on the Low Power mode you will find in Settings > Battery. This brings the refresh rate down in the iPhone Pro models.

Turn off 5G to Save iPhone Battery Life
