Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018), the world’s first quad camera smartphone launched

Samsung Galaxy A9, the much-awaited device from Samsung that boasted of its quad rear camera setup – with four separate cameras was launched on Thursday in Kuala Lumpur. Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) comes with Infinity Display, with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio, and up to 8GB of RAM. The Smartphone is the successor to the original Samsung Galaxy A9 in 2015.

However, Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) is no cheaper. It is priced at EUR 599 (roughly Rs. 51,300) and GBP 549 (roughly Rs. 53,700). The device will be available from November month, in Bubblegum Pink, Caviar Black, and Lemonade Blue colour variants.


Here are Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) specifications. The 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1080×2220 pixels) Infinity Display is based on dual-SIM (Nano) and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, 2.2GHz and four cores clocked at 1.8GHz, paired with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM.

In terms of optics, Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) boast of Quad Rear Camera Setup, with the main camera offering 24MP shooter with a bright f/1.7 lens, suitable for daylight and nighttime shots. While the The tele camera offers 2x optical zoom over the main camera and captures 10MP images, the 120° ultra-wide angle camera sports an 8MP sensor and finally, a 5-megapixel depth camera with an f/2.2 aperture.
