HMD Global is in plans to unveil Nokia 8.1 6GB RAM variant with 128GB of onboard storage in January 2018. The new 6GB variant will join Nokia 8.1 4GB storage model that was unveiled in India previous week. Nokia 8.1 is a rebranded version of Nokia X7, that debuted in China back in October.
On specification front, Nokia 8.1 sports a 6.18-inch FHD+ display that is HDR10-compliant, with screen aspect ratio of 18.7:9. It bears a dual rear camera setup powered by Zeiss optics, and is powered by Snapdragon 701 processor. Based on Android 9 Pie, the phone is backed by 3500mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
On Camera front, Nokia 8.1comes with a vertically stacked dual rear camera configuration consisting of 12MP+13MP cameras. There is a 20-megapixel sensor at the front with 0.9-micron pixels and 4-in-1 pixel tech.
